The Saddle Club Series to The Rescue

This last week has been hectic with tax preparation and whatnot. Thank Heaven for The Saddle Club. The Saddle Club Series has saved me this week.

The Saddle Club Season 1

I generally try not to use the TV as a babysitter, but when I’m crunching numbers and need quiet I know The Saddle Club will keep my little one’s attention. She received The Saddle Club Season 1 for Christmas, and The Saddle Club Season 2 for Valentine’s Day.

Each of these is a DVD set complete with 3 DVDs and literally hours (645  min) of entertainment for your horse loving kiddo.

What I like about The Saddle Club dvds is this show always teaches some kind of lesson. Whether it’s about sharing, taking responsibility, being a good winner (or a not so sore loser). It also helps kids understand how to deal with people who aren’t so easy to deal with (Veronica) and still me kind.

I think it also teaches great lessons about loyalty and friendship. The girls in The Saddle Club are creating life long friendships at Pine Hollow. I think it’s great for my kiddo to see young girls creating friendships and working their way through those friendships even through tough times, anger, sadness and doing it together.

The Saddle Club Horses

Watching the DVDs is never enough for Hanna ~ luckily her Grandma is a sucker for horses as well. She has tons and tons of little horses, including Belle  (Stevie’s horse) and a little Stevie to ride her.  It is quite hilarious to hear her act out the entire script for an entire episode with all her little horses.

There’s one The Saddle Club episode where Veronica gets jealous and tries to get the attention of Phil (who likes Stevie) and takes off on her horse to make him come follow her. Anyway… Veronica runs into trouble and falls off her horse and sprains her ankle. This scene has been reenacted so many times in our living room it is unreal. Same dialogue and all.

Here’s some of The Saddle Club Horses and Riders your little one can collect:

The Saddle Club Lisa and Prancer

The Saddle Club Stevie and Belle

The Saddle Club Carole and Starlight

If your little one loves horses and can’t have one of her own, The Saddle Club comes in a pretty close second! If you have a horse loving kiddo The Saddle Club Series can seriously create some quiet time when much needed. :)
